Chief Operating Officer
A rich past in corporate strategy, planning, product development, and operations management, JJ has a coordinating role in the development and growth of all of the organization’s core functions and projects.
Prior to HackerNest, JJ spent time in the United States, Europe, UK, and Asia working in corporate intelligence for QSR franchise acquisitions, bank strategy for a number of ING Group’s direct banking business units and head office, and in institutional finance for ABN-AMRO. Chief Technology Officer
Tech infrastructure, architect for the Unite software platform. Our CTO and chief architect for the Unite portal software platform, Robin is a biomedical engineer and computer scientist with over 20 years of hardware-software planning and development expertise.
He has an all-rounded background in Software-as-a-Service – designing, building and testing massive, very complex community-centric platforms and systems for large hospital networks, insurance companies, and premium matchmaking sites around the world. Alma mater: Kettering College of Medical Arts.
Director of Philanthropic Development
Development cause projects, strategic and enterprise planning. Chloe works closely with the executive team on the development of our cause programs, is responsible for advancing core partnerships, and is a key contributor to the strategic growth of the organization.
A Governor General award-winning philanthropist who is drawn to domestic and international humanitarian efforts, she has a depth of experience in evangelizing, fundraising, and advocating for human rights and other causes brings additional leadership rigor to HackerNest.
Global Operations Manager
Charged with coordinating the planning and delivery of our breadth of events, Annika is our liaison for Tech Social organizers, volunteers, partners, vendors, and more. A lawyer and accredited mediator, Annika brings with her an expansive set of community development and nonprofit management experience.
Engineering Product Manager
Teresa manages the development and delivery of the Unite platform project. She drives product ideation and is charged with building a sustainable and effective product map. A software engineer with a degree in Computer Science, she is a project manager and full stack developer with extensive consulting and operational experience.
Hackathon Operations Associate
A research academic with graduate-level work in the sciences, her track and path through the University of Western Ontario and the UK government gives her the kind of experience to navigate our cause programs.
A lifelong tech enthusiast, Ryan has years of experience and goal-driven success in management. He builds community partnerships and drives engagement in our forums and across our ecosystem.
Government Relations Coordinator
Bryce specializes in strategy and organizational development. Seasoned in the nonprofit sector, he uses this experience to create and build effective connections with government contacts and associations.
Erin is an UI/UX designer with experience in web and mobile interface design working with the web platform team. She is also charged with executing our marketing and sales digital and print media deliverables.

Having built sponsor-partner relationships for LGBT conferences at Yale and on Bay St., Stefan works on growing our client base and sponsorship strategy. He is a great proponent of diversity and inclusion in corporate culture and design.

Mark’s focus is major sponsorships and project management to drive greater organizational sustainability and scale. He has an expansive professional software background with IBM and Cognos, is an IT Projects and Systems Analysis professor, and is the industry liaison for internships, applied research, and symposium events.
