Come celebrate mankind's survival of the zombie apocalypse of 2012 at the first HackerNest Tech Social of 2013.

Leave your penguins and igloos at the door and come warm up at the Foundery coworking space for yet another fun round of Canada’s largest tech meetup. As always, n00bs welcome: bring a friend!

Note: Foundery is giving away a free 10-day pass at the event - just showing up already increases your chances of winning by over 9000%.

Post here if you're looking to connect with someone in particular, whether it's a PHP instructor, new employee, co-founder, business mentor, investor, whatever.

This is probably also a good thread for those "you have a huge red afro and work at [insert company here] but I forgot your name, so please message me"-type things.

FYI: Foundery is pretty close to the infamous Sneaky Dee's. Mondays you can get 30 wings and a 60 oz pitcher for $30...

Ah wings. Did that twice this weekend. St. Louis and AFC - double fried Ajuker Korean Chicken - sort of like Bonchon if you've ever had it. funnily enough, close too around Bloor and Bathurst. So many fried chicken choices...to die for!

Korean fried chicken is usually amazing, I'll be going there soon...

Sneaky's is just "meh", but it's a pretty good deal nonetheless.

Perfect reason to go to Sneaky Dee's: tattoos.

If anyone reads this before tonight's event, I'm looking for my tech soul-mate. Could it be you?

I'm Jeff — a social entrepreneur and public policy writer. I've recently co-founded synapsABILITY, an early-stage social enterprise, to create an online platform and marketplace for connecting and engaging the support networks that care for people touched by disability.

We've got some incredibly cool ideas (if I can humbly say so) that I'm eager to evangelize, and we're really excited about the potential for this. This is not your run-of-the-mill, humdrum nonprofit outfit. (We're actually striving for BCorp status.)

Now we need our CPO.

So please seek me out. The black and white picture obscures my orange hair. Or, just yell my name in the crowd. I'll find you, even if the yelling part makes things a bit awkward.
